I recently purchased jalapeño popper rack from caveman tools. I used it once for jalapeño poppers and they were delicious. They claim ( on the amazon site not the phantom website that alleges to have many recipes)that it could be used for drumsticks. I then looked online and there were other brands that sell drumstick racks. Are they worthwhile?or should I stick to they way I already do it?

My suggestion would be, if your current rack will hold the legs then go for it and see what you think. That’s the only sure fire way to see if you’ll actually like them or not. My guess is that they would turn out pretty darn good.

I see you joined in August, but you should know by now not to ask this kind of question.
We, Pit members, are here to help each other in any way we can. As long as you end up buying more stuff.
Now, as I see it, it shouldn't be if you should "buy another rack to hold your drumsticks". It should be about buying another cooker to put you new drumstick rack in. See?
Welcome to the Pit from a former Jersey boy.

Not sure how you are doing drumsticks now, but one of my kids gave me an actual drumstick rack years ago (fathers day, maybe my birthday), and while it sits in a bin of BBQ tools in the garage, I've used it exactly ONCE. I found it didn't really buy me anything, and in fact, it was kinda restrictive as it limited how many drumsticks you could cook at once, and the rack was kinda awkward. Usually if I do drums, it's because I bought a big pack of them at Sam's Club.
I've been doing legs/thighs/drums lately either direct grilled on grillgrates, or indirect with a Vortex on my kettle. The rack *might* be useful again if I am tight on grate space and have other things on the grill, and only 10 drumsticks to cook. But then, I have expansion grates to add a second layer of cooking if I run low on space, or alternate grills to use...
My advice is not to go spend money on a drumstick rack, but if you want to try the rack you already have, go for it...
I have a couple of jalapeño popper racks as well, and my issue is almost every one I've tried just doesn't hold anything beyond a small to medium jalapeño - smaller than the ones I buy in bulk at the grocery store. So I've taken to just slicing the jalapeños lengthwise and doing my poppers laid horizontal on the grill grate, with stuffings and cheese in a little jalapeño "boat" as it were. Also, if I make something like poppers, its usually for a party - not for 1 or 2 people - so the racks just don't hold enough.
