        gboss funny you should mention thread count... when my lovely bride and I were first courting, I impressed her by understanding what thread count even was, apparently a first for her in her menfolk experience

        I forgot to mention that I named the Pit Boss "Uncle Slayton" after a memorable character in the great James McMurtry's classic song Choctaw Bingo. Amongst his attributes is that he "sells his hardwood timber to the chippin' mill", and once when pouring in a big sack of pellets, I was idly reading the label as they slowly poured in, describing their being made of 100% hardwood chips. I realized that someone had to bring their hardwood timber to a chippin' mill in order for pellets to exist - and so, Uncle Slayton it is!

        Here's ol' Slayton nowadays, with plenty of road wear...
