    I need a bigger smoker!

Making 4 pork butts for Father’s Day lunch tomorrow at our Elks Lodge. They’re too big or my pellet smoker is too small! I went out and told my husband I needed a bigger smoker. I left all 4 on until they got enough smoke, then pulled one and put it in oven so they had room around them. 🤣 I know there’s some room there in front but front to back wasn’t too much.

I think it’s a great excuse to get a bigger one.

You definetely need a bigger smoker. But a workaround might be to cut the one in front in half.

Thought of that, but decided to utilize the oven too. This way juice collection was easier.

I agree. A bigger smoker is definitely in order. But, to expand on RonB ‘s workaround, cutting two in half will let you put one and a half in front and two and a half in back, allowing that much more air flow around everything and leaving you with that much more bark.

I fully support this, and any other expenditure.

                Do you have room vertically?

On my old Traeger, when I ran out of room, I built a rack out of a wire cooling rack and some 4" bolts and washers and nuts to make legs. Gave me a whole other rack to fit more on above. It was awesome!

Then you could spend your money on another type of smoker... Kamodo/egg style, vertical propane, or a small offset... I see you've already got the griddle aspect covered.

Not really a huge amount. I’ve thought about trying to add a shelf to stack food though.

Since you smoke for others, getting a bigger smoker would definitely be an selfless act of love!
