An Israeli startup has done a 3D-printed cut of grouper, in the spirit of the "on-demand food creation" thing seen on sci-fi shows like the Jetsons or Star Trek.

These are real proteins that are grown in a lab rather than taken from raised livestock
“Our secret sauce is in our printing capabilities,” Kaufman tells CNN, and while he adds that the steaks printed now don’t have the exact same taste and texture as the real thing, he’s confident they’ll get there in the next decade.
Remember --- if it wasn't for NASA scientists, we wouldn't have Tang or freeze-dried ice cream.
