I ate a ton of homemade cheese sandwiches (Kraft singles, butter, bread) and Little Debbie’s Devil’s squares. That was in elementary though. No idea what I had in kindergarten or preschool.

I don't remember whether it was kg or elementary school, but I used to have bacon sandwiches fer lunch with Miracle Whip on white bread. I liked MW back then, but the problem was that the MW turned the bacon slimy before lunch time. We haven't had MW in the house for as long as I can remember. I still like bacon now, but I cook it crispy.

Well, there seems to be memories of PBJ, bologna, an occasional salami, occasional cuz it was more expensive than bologna. Then there was the tuna fish sandwich with tomato soup on fridays. That pretty much was my lunch diet. I walked home a couple blocks, chowed down & went back in time for play ground time. There was also an occasional “grilled cheese” sandwich, a couple of slices of white bread toasted with some Kraft merican cheese. Awful. Then one day my ma found out I liked liverworst. Oh boy! Liverworst five days a week is some kind of dietary trek to take.

I wish I would have known salami existed when I was 5 years old. <sigh>. I brought some braunschweiger home for my wife when I was up in WI in Feb. I’ll eat it but it’s not on my top 10 favorite food list. I’ll eat the beef sticks and summer sausages all day long though.
