    Prices coming down. 😁

I haven't seen this price in a while. This week's sale ads from my local Kroger (Smith's) store. I like it.

Yep, inflation has definitely declined, although we have a ways to go yet. Headed in the right direction at least. Let's just hope the financial gurus don't overcompensate... if they haven't already. Good to see, though.

+1. Fingers crossed for a soft landing.

We have the same sale over here, with a limit of 5. I bought 5 using my Kroger card, then went back in and bought another 5 with my wife's card.

I scored two $2.74 whole chickens at Kroger this past weekend! I can't buy a baby chick to raise for $2.74!

I picked up chicken thighs last week for 88 cents per pound. Have not seen that price for a long time. I bought all my freezer could hold. πŸ‘

I have a local with baby backs this week for $2.99/pound. Have not seen that price here for a while so I picked up 4 really thick, meaty racks for the rib shelf in my freezer. Pork shoulder at $1.79 lately too. Prices hopefully headed in the right direction.

We went to Sam’s Club last weekend. It’s about 1.5 hours away, so we only go once every 2 or 3 months. They had packs of 5 dozen eggs for $15, limit 2. My wife bought 2 and I bought another 1. With a family of 6 we go through about 3 dozen eggs a week. I figured we saved about $35 over the grocery store. I told my wife we’re gonna make another trip as soon as we run out.

I wouldn’t start planning a victory parade anytime soon. I went to Home Depot yesterday for some Kingsford charcoal. For the longest time the 2 bag pack was $17.99 and it was 20 lb bags. Yesterday those two 20 lb bags shrunk to 18 lbs and went up 2 fricking dollars!

Finster It was weird. The price tag on the rack said $21.99 also. When I went to checkout, it rang up as $19.99 🧐

You may have gotten a deal...
At homies this morning under the 2Γ—20 for $21.98 sign were 2x16 packages 😲.
Didn't buy any, so don't know if checkout price would have been lower..
32# for $22 dollars is still cheaper than premium brands, but the gap is narrowing.

My local Kroger has baby backs for 1.99 a pound, in a pack of two. Limit of 5 packs, but I don’t think I need 10 slabs of those in the freezer. May still go get one or two this weekend.
