So for years I have been eating these Minute Rice single-serving containers. They look like this:

They come two per pack and the entire pack costs $2.12, so $1.06 per serving. I eat a decent amount of brown rice, especially now that I've gotten into Asian breakfasts.
And these single-serving things are ridiculous convenient: you just remove the lid, pop it in the microwave for a minute, and they are nearly perfect.
Two nights ago I made my first brown rice in my Instant Pot XMas gift. It turned out just as good as the Minute Rice ones. (And healthier -- no salt.) And the rice reheats very well, basically one minute in the microwave per cup of rice. The rice cooks in just a little over 10 minutes.
I decided to see how much money the instant pot would be saving me....and it is a decent amount!
I eat, roughly, 10 minute rice things per week, so that is about $10 a week, so essentially I am spending $40 a month on rice.
A 2 lb bag of long grain brown rice at the store is $1.52. (Of course it is HEB; no really, we are not a cult, really.)

Assuming 1/2 a cup of dried rice equals 1 cup of cooked rice, there are 64 servings of rice in a 2 lb bag. That works out to $0.02 ($0.02375) cents per serving.
40 servings of the instant pot rice would run me just a dollar a month! That isn't even worth considering. (Take that inflation!)
And this doesn't even take into account the waste aspect....I always felt concerned about how much plastic I was throwing away.
In some sense, the money I am saving could buy a prime brisket every four months or so.
