My wife’s family names a lot of dishes after relatives. They are a family of very good cooks. There’s granny’s fried chicken, aunt Virginia’s divinity, aunt Tony’s green beans, and so on. When you’re told what’s being served you know what to expect. Their only downfall is they make jello salads.
