I like it, that in the middle of the article there is a pop up McD’s triple somethin burger & some kind of chicken sandwich.
Also, they can’t tell ya it tastes like it is made of. I know I ended that sentence incorrectly! But who gives a rip

I wonder if these people ever think of what they have to put into these products to make them taste and feel like "meat"...........well let me tell you, it is far from "natural" or "unprocessed" Which are two things this crowd tends to be crazy over. Not to mention they offer VERY little nutritional value. I look at it as more of a way for them to "fit In" at a backyard BBQ. "Look at me, see, you can have a burger and not eat meat!"
Do they ever think of that? My guess is no..........
Panhead John It was a phase that even she got tired of and quit that. But yeah, she would bring her own veggie burger or whatever and I would put it out of its misery.
I don't understand the stuff, if you're vegan or whatever there's some AMAZING chefs out there making some great vegetarian options. Heck, India has an entire culture of food that is vegan friendly that's been around for hundreds of years. Why make a vegan beef burger, when you can just make a vegan burger that's good in it's own right.
Right! If you want to eat vegetables, eat vegetables! There's nothing wrong with veggie fajitas, or veggie and bean tacos, or whatever. But this endless pursuit of trying to make some kind of questionable 'protein' looks, feel and taste like meat is just silliness. Oh well, doesn't affect me, until they start legislating consumption. *whoops!*
Also - 21 grams of protein doesn't mean a thing unless it can be efficiently absorbed and used by the body.
I don't have enough interest to research how they have that set up, if at all.
I am tired of hearing how meat production is destroying the planet. If you want to save this planet then force all the huge banks, grocery stores and other industry, to stop sending so much wasted paper through the mail. I understand some of it may be recycled, but not that much. Stop charging the customer extra for recycling! Those two ideas would be a good beginning....
I read that same article today on my lunch break whilst having an Italian Beef. I almost spit some of my beef laughing. But who knows?....Some day they might get close. But not today.

To expand on what Spinaker and Reds Fan 5 What about the ingredients? I guarantee there are more than 20 ingredients in any of those fake meat products. Now look at a package of, let’s say a tri-tip, how many ingredients are in there? One. Uno. That’s it. BEEF.
I rest my case.
