At least meal worms are a type of meat. Nutrient dense and plentiful. It will be the future. Once we get to 10-12 + Billion people we are gonna have to do something, but for now.............Regular meat is good by me.
Meal worms are good fish bait. Good grief don’t eat them. Go catch a fish and eat it. If we do have to eat such a thing I won’t be needing to watch my weight any more. I’ll bet just a few of those are very filling.

30 years ago when I was in high school, there was a west indian student whose father came in to talk to the honors philosophy class. He held a PhD and was a respected published academic.
He told us that ranching was simply not sustainable. Do you know how many acres of land it takes for every pound of beef? Well I forgot (it was 30 years ago), but it was not an insignificant amount. Not to mention the water needed for the cattle AND the cattle food.
The problem? Land and water are not unlimited resources. Ask the American Southwest about that. They will very soon have to choose between "brown brown flush it down" or taking a shower that day. The water crisis is THAT serious. No joke.
But what the honorable doctor did not foresee is technology. Like lab grown meat. That technology was like a Star Trek replicator. A wonderful concept, but not a reality.
So who knows what the future holds. But the evidence is pretty clear, we ARE running out of stuff.
MsTwiggy, I'll have any occasional sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin. But I generally stay far away. I used to eat big mack or quarter pounder with cheese until I figured out that I almost always felt ill afterward.
