Our favorite summertime meal - what's yours?

Hands down, it's BLTs made with fresh picked tomatoes, homemade bread, lettuce and Wrights thick cut bacon. That has to be accompanied by freshly picked sweet corn on the cob. So what's your favorite summertime meal?

I got a few favorites, but it's tough to beat that combo! Grilled chicken when I get the spices, salt and skin just right is pure pleasure for me.

Can't decide between grilled steak and grilled hamburgers. Both with good craft beer.

Most things we cook year 'round (ribs, burgers, etc), except BLTs, becasue winter grocery store tomatoes just aren't the bomb...so I too would have to say BLTs!

That's the reason we look forward to tomatoes every summer. Store bought tomatoes just don't hack it.

RonB Just like grocery store cooked ribs!

BLT's and corn on the cob is my number one pick since I can only get good tomatoes and corn in the summer, I add watermelon to finish it off.

Second choice is hot dogs and potato salad.

I bbq year round, and winter is the time for more elaborate things made in the oven or on the stove.

And when you smoke that thick cut bacon at 225F/107C for a couple hours, it's sublime! Great choice. Our tomatoes are starting to come in now too, and oh yeah, I'll take the homegrown every time.

Ratatouille, made with summer squash and fresh summer tomatoes at just the right time of the season.

            And/or gazpacho, again the tomatoes.

Accompanied by corn on the cob, as long as those seasons overlap! We seem to get the best corn and tomatoes for just a few weeks each.

Grilled Maine hardshell lobster & butter. Sometime a little tarragon and garlic.
Steamed broccoli and Vidalia onions with mushrooms.
                Rice pilaf.

I've eaten more BLTs in the past month than I have in my entire life. I've been adding cucumber slices (not too many) and it helps amps up that cooldown factor. Aside from BLTs....classic hot dogs.

I was allergic to raw tomato when I was younger.
I grew out of it (or at least found out) I was no longer allergic about 25 years ago.
I used to get hives. I now enjoy a good tomato now and then.

We eat lots of BLTs and charcuterie during the summer.

I’ve been eating just the LT sandwich using some great heirloom tomatoes and lettuce from the garden. Right now we’re eating a ton of chicken thighs marinaded in Greek or Middle Eastern spices with fresh herbs and vegetables.

I was allergic to raw tomato's since I was young. Cooked was no problem. I would break out in hives.
About 25 years ago I tried an heirloom tomato slice and nothing happened. Now I have tomato when it suites me.

Summer time here means George's Coney Island Hot Dogs in Worcester Massachusetts. It's been in business since 1918! The booths inside are cover in ancient graffiti.

Hard to beat a good BLT with fresh tomatoes. A Summer favorite would have to be any available Garden Vegetable paired with a piece of beef, pork, or chicken.
