One for the bachelors... Or a lazy day

Hey guys, seriously doubt I'm the first to do this, but crock pot pork bbq is one of my favorite easy meals. Ingredients are a pork shoulder or whatever's there, and however much sweet baby rays it takes to fill the crock pot halfway up. I usually put it on high for 4 hours and boom decent pork bbq on the cheap, anyone else have a lazy dish? Would love to expand my possibilities when the wife's out of town 😜

That looks pretty good but when my wife's out of town (rarely) I seize the opportunity to grill and smoke meats. I love the smell of smoke and tinkering with fire. Then of course, there's the good eats! Come to think of it, that's what I do when she's in town.

I would do this but I'm having to use this time to tackle all the projects without oversight 😜, quick and easy meals are gonna be the name of the game for me for a few days

We use our slow cooker about once a week on average. One of my favorites is a chuck roast, a can of cream of mushroom soup and a pack of onion soup mix (no need to add water). Dump it all in and cook on low for 6-7 hours. Awesome flavor.

Currently have teriyaki chicken in the slow cooker... house is starting to smell really nice. If you like Asian, there are some really good slow cooker recipes at www.damndelicious.net

I know this is blaspheme here, but I USED to put a brisket on al. foil, pour on a pack of onion (or vegetable) soup, and a can of mushroom soup. Seal foil, and cook an hour a # @ 325*F.
Was good. That was when brisket was cheap!

richinlbrg I don't consider it blasphemy. This forum is generally about outdoor cooking and specifically BBQ but there's plenty of other ways to get a great meal together and I like hearing about all of them.

I buy ground beef as Sam's, I eat some fresh and cook the rest up, a couple pounds plain and a couple with taco seasoning and vac seal and freeze it.
Spaghetti is my quick one, pound of frozen beef, pour sauce over it and it is done by the time the noodles are. Definitely good for single guys because you can portion anyway you want.

All done! Not too bad for the lack of effort

Ha Ha, typical batch it deal, paper plate and no side.

Another one of my favorites, this for leftover chicken mostly, chicken tortilla soup in the vitamix, and chicken potato spinach next to it, I don't deviate from their recipie a whole lot, just add some green chile pepper and jalapeño for some extra flavor, 20-30 mins prep, but I can usually cook a weeks worth of lunch in about an hour. Used some leftover smoked chicken breast for these, didn't notice any measurable difference vs grilled though.
