Skunk got in my house once, tried to catch him and he ran in my bathroom. He came out with his hands up.

The "little guys" released by male mosquitoes to impregnate female mosquitoes contain olfactory sensory parts. Wonder if they sought their opinion.

Where's the odour of an NYC subway in the middle of a summer heat wave on the list?

i think the smell of ash or red oak burning in a fireplace is a better smell. it certainly brings back many more memories! Vanilla, i just think of baking.

Vanilla is a very relaxing, delicious, homey smell to me. I'd add to that things along the likes of bread baking and coffee brewing.

One of my all time favorite smells is a muddy warmer day at the end of winter, the smell of a thaw. When you can just smell spring in the crisp clean air. You northern climate folk know what I'm talking about. On a similar note- when it's the hot stretch of summer and then it rains heavily and cools down, that smell right after that.

Some researchers obviously have way too much time on their hands. And, they’ve never smelled a good low tide.

I love vanilla and coconut, but a flooded rice field tops the "field."

I don’t drink coffee, but the smell of coffee beans is amazing.

Lavender for me. Love working outside in the summer smelling it. Hate the damn swarms of bees it attracts.

The best smell is the smell of BBQ.
Nothing could be finer than the smell of Caroliner in the BBQ time.

The smell of mountain air after a thunderstorm. Maybe fresh brewed coffee at the same time. To me it doesn't get much better than that.

I can buy vanilla, even coffee. But for the mountain thunderstorm you gotta be there.
