I think automation in BBQ is good. The ultimate purpose, IMHO, of BBQ for us backyard pit masters is to enjoy it with family and friends. A time to share, reflect and enjoy the time we have together. As I have massaged a few Bible verses together and had my sister calligraphy them into a painting that I have hanging in my kitchen.
