In our local grocery store i was looking foe Wasabi. After asking i was told it was in the Mexican food section because it was hot. Ok, go figure....

I love a Killer fruit cake. My mother used to make one soaked in rum for several months. Think, dense, dark, and great. Not-no store-bought crap.


Old Ned got a shock of his life when he sat on a fruit cake . . . got a Currant up his but I don't remember the rest of the story.

My mothers side makes great fruit cake with brandy or rum, I prefer rum.
One year we did find a very passable store brought fruit cake, but yes, most are best served in a trash compacter.
