Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

There once was an old fella I knew quite well. We were doin some volunteer work and decided to take a break on a hat weekday, nearin noon. We sat down and I told him, anything you would like Bill. Waitress came over to take our order. I ordered a taco salad and Bill ordered a Chicago Dog. Then he said to hold the pickle, and hold the relish, and.... when he finished by holdin the bun, I said you want a Chicago Dog and hold the Chicago. The waitress brilliantly piped in with "you just want a plain hot dog and a coke. Yup was his answer.
Our order came and he grabbed cream sauce and dipped his dog in and ate the whole thing. From that day on my friends all called it the Schlieder Dog.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I grew up with ketchup and raw chopped onions on a boiled or grilled hot dog. But I have not had that combo in over 60 years. Mustard is the proper addition.
