I just thought I’d share one of my favorite things lately to grill, which is Bosnian cevapi.
Cevapi is something they make in the Balkans, and each region has their own recipe.
Lots of different recipes online, here’s a simple way I make it.
Cevapi
1 lb ground pork
1 lb ground beef
1 pack of cevapi (get at your import store, or find ingredients online.
mix it all up, roll into sausages roughly 3” long and 1/2” wide.
Cook on charcoal on high heat, turn frequently, it cooks fast. You want the outside crispy.
kajmak
This is the spread, use liberally to put on the bread or just dip the Cevapi in it.
mix 1 stick of butter and 1 pack of Philadelphia cream cheese, use liberally.
Lepinja - the bread
if doing keto, obviously leave this part out. There’s a lot of European bakeries you can buy this at, otherwise the bread is called Lepinja.
Anyways, hope you try it out as it’s always fun to try something new.
