Smokin-It 3D
Weber Kettle with an SNS
Masterbuilt kettle that I call the $30 wonder grill
Bullet by Bull Grills gasser
Anova WiFi sous vide machine
Thermoworks Thermapen and Chef Alarm
That is pretty cool! A lot of brands I’ve never heard of. But my first look was to see where Nathan’s was associated to, expecting NY to be there and they both were. Hebrew and then Vienna are the other two major brands I know. Then Ballpark and Bar S.
Now it would be fun to see what the specialty dog was for each park!

I am kinda surprised MLB hasn’t simply cut a deal with Nathan’s or Vienna to be the national hot dog at all ballparks. You’d think that the dog makers would love that opportunity to be the standard iconic ballpark food brand.

MLB may make an official deal, but I don’t think they can require teams to use that, as Bud Light is the official NFL beer, however if you went to Jerrah World in Dallas, you would only be able to get Miller Lite.
But, your minde is on the path to make some money!

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Wow! I’ve only had 5 of those hotdog brands that I am aware of. I sure won’t make it to all those ballparks but I may go on a quest to try all the brands of hot dogs I can find. I’m sure I’m the end I’ll be back to Nathan’s though… we like it over Hebrew National, Ballpark and other National brand’s we’ve tried.
A hot dog I had many year’s ago in NYC that I don’t think you can find anywhere else is Gray’s Papaya. I was sad to look it up and see they are down to just one location now. Another icon gone, almost, like the Carnegie Deli..

I was looking to see who had the 3, 2, 1 deal I had just heard mentioned in sports concessions? Did not find that one but came across a blog called WebstaurantStoreblog. They list most expensive Beer prices = Nats @ $14.99. Cheap = $3 Coors Field
Dogs, xpensive = Petco @ SanDiego $7.75. Cheap = A's Chase Field $2.99. Ticks, xpensive = LA Doger Stadium $115 vs KC Kauffman @ $42.
These are avg's not etched in stone. Just to give some kind of idea.
Kim just said the 3, 2, 1 deal is tuesday. $3 Beer, $2 Dogs n $1 Ice Cream.

Here is my favorite "ballpark hotdog" story. Bear with me please...
After my father passed, my brother and I started taking my Mom to see her beloved Dodgers each year. First it was one of us at a time, then we planned to be there together, then my brother started including more and more family and close family friends, to the point that he'd book a particular section each year. We ended up with 30-40 folks each time, and my Mom just absolutely loved every minute of it.
The second such game, 18 months after my Dad had died, was on Father's Day in 2004, and my brother called in every favor he had to score us absolutely primo seats behind the visitors' dugout. It was an interleague game with none other than the New York Yankees, arch-nemeses from the time we were growing up in the 1960s with the Dodgers recently relocated from Brooklyn. Sorry/not sorry to Yanks fans, but I've been a Yankees-hater from the word Go, and am also a big Red Sox fan. My brother, bless his heart, had us a pair of matching T-shirts made for us to wear at the game, and lemme tellya I've never gotten more action than when walking around the concourse with this shirt and that hat...!
This shot was taken by a photographer for the LA Times, where it ended up being posted as part of a "game notes" column on the website (not in print). Some wag commented on it "This woman clearly raised her sons properly!"
Finally to the hotdog story. See the gent directly behind my Mom with the black NY cap and sunglasses, looking toward the camera? A few minutes after this shot, he leaned forward and struck up a conversation. "You know," says he, "I've been to every single major league ballpark in the country. Every one. And there is no better hot dog at any ballpark than these Dodger Dogs."
We said "Hey thanks man, that is really nice of you to say, wow!" Then he dropped the hammer: "It's just a shame you can't get one in October."
Sick. Burn. We gave him the "we're not worthy" bow and full props, gotta hand it to him!!Last edited by DaveD; April 7, 2024, 01:29 PM.

Went to a couple Mariners games last week and I have to say I wish they were something other than Fletchers. Didn't really enjoy that hot dog the first game. They also had a few stands selling Hemplers sausages but I opted for a bowl of chowder the second game

About the only thing that remains remotely cheap in Minute Maid Park in Houston is the dollar hotdog, and that only on like Tuesdays. Otherwise, the proverbial hotdog at a baseball venue has gotten to be the same as the price of ribeyes.
