We always called 'em TJ dogs, but they're actually a Sonoran thing. I've got a cart down the street from my house that does dogs. Elote, and churros.

TJ,SD,LA you don't generally get beans. Get over to Tucson you start getting beans. Sonoran vs. TJ.

Hmmm. I like it! But.... are they really served with basically raw bacon on the outside? That bacon looks pretty floppy...

No, that’s the raw bacon wrapped dogs before they get cooked off on the plancha.

Seems like a lot of cross-contamination going on there. Uncooked ones seemingly piled on top of cooked ones, with the toppings touching them. Danger dogs, indeed!

This hot dog is stupidly addictive. And this is a die hard Chicago dog girl talking here!

No ketchup (which is why I probably like them) and I have had it served with mayo.

Great timing! We made our own spin on these the other day.

And I am about to score some Hungarian hot dogs (can you say Tony Packos) to go home with me.

These are the best dogs I’ve ever had in my life. Downtown LA has these dog carts everywhere. I’ve eaten more than I can count over the years…and never got sick!

Never been a big fan of them. Seen them for years at the Rose Bowl, Coliseum, the Forum. My son loves them and gets one every time.

I'll take a Lucky Dog (New Orleans on Bourbon st.) any day.

I've never seen anyone cooking hot dogs on a baking sheet over a can of sterno in a shopping cart in Toronto.

Never have I just a general comment about hot dog carts in downtown Toronto

There are a half dozen of these carts stationed around Levi's Stadium after San Francisco 49ers games. You walk out of the stadium and are hit by the smells of bacon and grilled onions. Irresistible and delicious!

A few months ago I tried my hand at making these, threw a sheet-pan over the BBQ and grilled them up. They were pretty good.
