    Rana Lasagna

This product is in the refrigerated case next to the shredded cheeses in my local Publix. I have been seeing it for a while, and after being out of the house one day, I decided I wanted something fairly quick and easy, so I stopped in Publix on the way home and bought the meat lasagna just to try it. It was not only the best store bought lasagna I have had, but better than some I have had in restaurants. Of course, just because it suited my taste doesn't mean that it will suit anyone else's, but if ya want something easy , you might give this a try.

Rana products are really good across the board. Their pesto is good enough to keep me from making pesto.

I've used their tortellini in recipes, but never purchased the pesto or lasagna products. Maybe I'll give them a go the next time I'm in Desperation Dinner mode. Experience here has taught me to trust your and Mosca 's palates. You guys haven't steered me wrong yet.

You could buy one and freeze it. That way you'd have it on hand.

I agree with this article. I’ve spent a lot of $ on pine nuts, olive oil, Mediterranean Sea salt, and Parmesano Reggiano to go with garden basil, only to come up with something not quite as good. It’s available at Target groceries, and at Costco rebranded as Kirkland.

I agree that the Rana lasagna is edible. Costco carries one with Beef and Short Ribs that is pretty tasty. I don't buy these often but I don't mind having one on hand/in the freezer for a day I don't feel like cooking.

Your heritage forbids you from admitting this...

Uncle Bob Yes but my age, and cooking desire, allows it.

We have either the chicken Alfredo lasagna or the chicken Alfredo fettuccine once every couple months. We get 4 meals total (2 each). While it is not totally and completely freshly made tasting, it is more than close enough to make up for 1) it costs less than using fresh ingredients, and 2) it’s on the table after 7 minutes in the microwave, with no cleanup. Compared to freshly made, it’s about 80% there.

But the pesto, that’s there. Also, Member’s Mark pesto, from Sam’s, is supposedly also Rana, but that is unconfirmed. I swear it used to be on their label. Next time I’m there I’ll check again.

I think the pesto from both Sam's and Costco are the same and very good. I always have a jar on hand.

Our Costco carries these, they are quite good. They only ever seem to have one of three available (Beef Short Rib, Chicken and Vegetable). For a quick meal they are tasty

I too have had the meat lasagna and the chicken alfredo version. Both are quite good. Rana also makes a beef short rib ravioli that is really good. Guess I'll be picking up some Rana fare on my way home from work for dinner tonight.

I've never tried Rana products before. A quick search shows they are available at a grocery store near me, so I may give them a try

This topic was, well, typical. It seems I have to fend for myself for dinner tonight and had nothing planned. I had to go to Home Depot for something, and Target is right next door. Having read this thread earlier this morning, I ran into Target and bought a Rana lasagna for dinner.

Tonight was scavenger night ( 💩 day at work). While we had leftover pizza, I saw that BF did purchase more Rana…. Guess he likes it.
