I've been to 5 of those, have several others around if I wanted. I strongly disagree with their ordering . In-n-out was probably the biggest let down I've had.

Yelp, just like the BBB can not be trusted.

Been to 8 of the top 10 - never even heard of Wayback or Mooyah. Been to 11 of the next 15.

So many things are regional, and people’s tastes are often based on what’s familiar. One man’s favorite is another man’s trash.

Whenever I spot a new face in my Burger shop I always ask how the came on us. Surprisingly (not that much anymore) Google sends them my way after asking where to get the best burgers in Port Elizabeth.
I jokingly tell them that's rather odd as Google has never been here for a burger 😉

If we are going to have a decent burger it is always going to be from a tavern or local diner; probably a place a Yelp reviewer would only drive pass and not have the courage to enter.
We did really like 5 Guys but our closest one shut down over 5 years ago due to the landlord raising the rent. Other than that, we haven’t eaten in a chain burger joint in over a decade.

Dead Bobs has one of the best burgers in St. Pete. Looks like a rough place, but mostly a friendly bunch, place is small, and always packed. They opened a new Dead Bobs Too in downtown St Pete, but we haven’t been there yet.

That is so true. You are reminding me of when I was a kid growing up in Madison Wisconsin and we would go to this tiny burger joint. They had a few seats at the counter where you could watch them cook and walk out smelling like onions and french fries. Just great food and they had a cheese plate (on paper of course) that was massive and quality cheese.

            Good times and good memories.

Panhead John. It was Google reviews, and we aren't going talk about that anymore.

No chain place will ever be able to compete with the mom and pop dives.
