Looks like they identified a common supplier for the slivered onions. Further proof you should never eat raw onions.

My boys came home from town this eve with McD's and thoughtfully brought me a gift, a Double Quarter Pounder. Uh oh! Was I worried about E coli? Yes. Did I eat it anyway? Also yes. Let's hope the slivered onions weren't sent to MI. I'll let you know tomorrow to this weekend-ish if so.

Man I haven't eaten a McD's quarter pounder in... I dunno, years. If I stop there, it's usually breakfast. Although I think maybe once this year, I got a couple of their small burgers or a big mac. That's usually what I choose from there. I actually liked it a few years ago when they had the version of the Big Mac that was larger. Not sure if that is still a thing or not. I remember we sent someone to the local McD's in the middle of the night to get us dinner when I was working at the ER and I got one of those. It was awesome, but of course terrible. lol As mentioned above, a guilty pleasure. But I left the ER 6.5 years ago, so I bet I've not eaten burgers at McD's a half dozen times since then - except breakfast. Now that I think about it, even getting breakfast there, it's only every few months, maybe, so 3-4 times a year, if that?

When I really sit down and think about it, we aren't eating a whole lot of fast food the last few years. Pizza once a month or less. More often it's Subway or Schlotzky's for sammiches. We do Freddy's Steakburgers every few months - we went there 3-4 times this summer, since my son was working there while he was home from college.

I guess I can rest a little easier suggesting my patients eat less fast food, since I'm not being such an utter hypocrite and really do seldom eat it myself. Once a week or so on average, and that's honestly even counting food brought in to our clinic by pharma reps. Of course, I'm sure the caffeine, whiskey and nicotine don't help. lol Oh well. I'm no role model.

Double cheeseburger, large fries, and a coke. My go to every time.
3 or 4 times a year as an indulgence. Pretty much the only fast food I eat.
as for the e coli, it for sure sucks, but when you serve a billion burgers over the years, thereโ€™s bound to be a few mishaps along the way ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

And now it's pancakes and waffles. All over the place, fromTreehouse Foods, store brands including Albertson's, Aldi, Trader Joe, Walmart, HEB, Kroger, Dollar General, etc.

        Link:

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (NYSE: THS) is expanding its voluntary recall to include all products manufactured at one facility and still within their shelf-life. The recall is expanded to include frozen toaster waffle, Belgian waffle and pancake products, due to the potential to be contaminated with List

It was the onions and not the beef. I ainโ€™t gonna lieโ€ฆ..My favorite fast food hamburger meal is a Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese and a large Fries. Iโ€™ll take that over any fast food burger joint, which includes In-n-Out. And being a Californian, that is sacrilege.

But I have not had a fast food burger in over 10 months. Just trying to eat better. Writing this while I have a green salad, saltines and a can of Mackerel in EVOO. I love canned fish.

SheilaAnn You're right!! I was up in Pasadena (I forget the name of the restaurant), but they serve tinned fish. I was amazed. I went in and asked about the "canned" fish and I was quickly corrected.

Weird thing is I don't care for onions on my burger so I'd normally order it w/o them, but my boys brought it home and handed it to me and I didn't feel like pulling them off, was hungry! This was before I knew it was officially linked to the onions, but we all had a suspicion it was that.

Huskee Wishing you well. However not to take a chance have someone look at the server just in case. Iโ€™ve seen quite a few errors and slowing appearing when posting on several computers and different networks. Hate to have you under the weather and worrying that I canโ€™t Like a post. ๐Ÿ™‚

We ate at our local Cook-Out today. Excellent burgers and plenty of food for the money. Also a ton of different milkshakes.
