    Insect Burgers

Lidl Ireland is selling burgers made with bugs. Labeled “insect burgers” in stores, ingredients include “textured soya flour and ground dried mealworm larva,” according to multiple media reports. Now there's a product label that should pack em in.
Lidl Ireland has launched burgers made with mealworm larvae, following European approval for some edible insects in 2020

jfmorris I asked her about it and it was simply for adding protein to baked goods.

Hmmm. I think insect cookies is worse than smoothies…

SOYA FLOUR, amazingly, that is the part that makes me say "I'm Out". The insects are fine, that is a good protein.

That definitely falls into the category of a hard no. Although, there was a convenience store in San Angelo that sold chocolate covered ants and grasshoppers...

My parents brought home a box of chocolates that had insects in them, all different kinds... I'm still traumatized. Will never forget seeing the chocolate with the corner broken and ants pouring out, made it look like they were still alive. Creeeeeeeeepy.

I think the bluebirds in my backyard would enjoy those mealworm burgers a lot more than I would.

Mix this with some 3 bean Texas chili and you will have a wonderful meal!

Don’t forget to add some corn

Wyoming has lots more beef, sheep, deer and antelope than meal worms. I'll do my best to take care of getting rid of them first before the meal worms.

Eh, I'd give 'em a shot, I've eaten plenty of other bugs. Just go ahead and keep the gluten-free bun and vegan cheese-like substance far away.
