Looking for brand and picture of a Honey Bun

Reddish, black and clear package, mostly that reddish color.

Thin white layer of icing. Good sized bun.

There was some sort of symbol, may have been cotton still contained in its supporting structure near the top middle of the package.

Popular in the 80's and 90's.

Not sure you should be asking for pictures of a Honey Bun from the 80's - 90's under any circumstance...

No Debbie. The icing is solid white and could sometimes peel off with the package.

Hostess Sweet rolls fit that description. They were discontinued several years ago. Tried a redo once but weren't even kind of close to original

That sounds like it if it was just one, if a package of multiple smaller rolls, not it.

Could it be region specific? What region are we talking about?

Alan Brice no corrugated paper, just a single hand sized honey bun. White top.

Take a look at these. https://www.influenster.com/reviews/hostess-sweet-rolls Don't know how to save the pic. This is the redo so packaging is different than it used to be.

That is pretty close. Pretty sure he is not thinking Hostess.

It may have been hostess, I'd like see a history of their honey bun packaging. No cinnamon that's for sure.

I used to be hooked on Honey Buns and coffee in the 70s and 80s. I had to go through detox and methadone treatment to shake the habit. A good intervention helps Broussard

Middle is the closest, as far as the bun. There wasn't a whole lot of "clear" to the packaging.

Blue Bird Honey Buns with icing. The bird has a chef hat on. could resemble a cotton boll. Click image for larger version

No birds, no blue on package. Those have a THICK icing. It gets down in the crevices unlike the one I had growing up.
