Looking for a Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe

Does anybody have a Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe they can share with me?

I’ve found some online but would rather make one that’s been tested.

I’ve seen ones that use bacon grease instead of butter, ones that actually put crumbled bacon into the cookies and ones that do both.

I’m hoping for one that gives the perfect balance of bacon and chocolate. I know bacon can overpower things. Sometimes that’s great, but in a cookie I think you would just want it to be there but not smack you upside the head with bacon.

    Thanks

    Steve

I’m lookin fer a bunch of em. They sound fantastic. The 95 ur old neighbor of mine had her daughter bring over some cookies on Monday & said chocolate chips makes everthing better and I replied and bacon. She nodded in agreement. You come up in search of a heavenly recipe, chocolate chips & bacon. Shouldn’bw to hard to do, just add some bacon bits.

      Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

      Yield: 4 dozen small cookies

      Ingredients:
      • ¾ cup (1½ sticks) salted butter, softened
      • ¼ cup bacon fat
      • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
      • ½ cup sugar
      • 2 eggs
      • 1 teaspoon baking soda
      • 1½ teaspoon vanilla
      • 2¼ cup flour
      • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
      • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
      • 8-10 oz bacon (or more, if you like)
      Preparation:

Cook bacon until it's crispy. Set aside on paper towel line plate. Save the bacon grease and it allow to cool completely until it solidifies.

      Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, bacon fat, and sugars. Cream until fluffy. Add eggs and baking soda then mix well. Mix in vanilla. Add flour and mix until flour is mostly incorporated.

Crumble bacon. (about ¾(½)cup but you can do as much as your little heart desires) Stir in bacon and chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded scoops onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for about 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool for a few minutes on the sheet

I'd start with the bacon grease and see if any undertones are relevant. Add bits on the next batch if nothing worthy occurred with the taste buds.

Oh man these are sooooo gooooood.....

I made a bunch a couple times a few years ago.

Can't tell you the last time I ate a cookie of ANY kind, much less one as good as these. Good luck.
