In our house it's Duke's for some things like dressings etc, and Kewpie for sandwich making and both Japanese and American style potato salads.

The Japanese version of Kewpie mayo, to my taste buds, has more umami than the American version. The American version has a longer shelf life, though, at least in my several years' experience with Kewpie.

Good description. It's the cider vinegar that gives it the twang.

I sorta like the flavor profile of Best Foods, but not the consistency: it's a teeny bit too gelatinous. I used to make my own mayonnaise but it's hard to make just a small amount, so I'd have to toss it before I was able to use it up. Right now I have Kewpie in the fridge, but I know it's not for everyone.

I was raised on Miracle Whip and now love Original Japanese Kewpie. Kewpie here is twice the cost of Duke’s so I typically get Duke’s which is still very tasty.

I'm a Hellman's gal. Tried others but it's my fallback every time. I cannot abide Miracle Whip. Taste is like something has gone bad to me. I am reminded of a supposedly winning chicken thigh trick that was going around in the early 2000s, originated by Fast Eddy Mauren (Cookshack FEC pellet smokers). Thighs were trimmed up, coated with Miracle Whip then sprinkled generously with rub. Cook hot & fast. Drew Grega (Blind Dog BBQ) described the process as "Chicken in, money out!"

We're either Duke's or Kraft Real, whichever Publix has BOGO when we need more.

We stick to Dukes, Hellmans, and or Blue Plate. If one is on a heavy sale I grab it, but all 3 are great.

Anyone every try the Aldi version labeled Burman's? Unless my wife pulled a fast one on me, I did a blind taste test and picked it over Duke's. I really don't care though, Hellman's, Kraft, whatever, on a sammich they're all good to me. Except Miracle Whip, I call it Miserable Wipe.
