My wife's family buys giant olives, pulls out the pimento and shoves in an Anchovie fillet and a garlic clove.
Sit around eating and talking all night while I sit outside up in a tree.
Best birth control method every conceived in this household.
Once in a blue moon on Za or a homemade Cesar salad dressing for me.

22" Weber Kettle w/SNS, 18" WSM, Bronco, Grilla Chimp, Traeger Tailgater, UDS, Camp Chef Tahoe Stove.
Luckily I am allergic to fish (regular fish, not shellfish) so I have an excuse not to eat them. Funny enough the trace amounts in Worcestershire doesn't bother me.

True story. Took the ex to a restraunt that had a ceasar salad cart, they would make it right at the table. The guy kept asking about ingredients and we kept saying yes until he said Anchovies? The ex wouldn't do it. The guy looked like he wanted to cry.
She tried the salad and said "This doesn't taste right" and boy was that an I TOLD YOU SO moment

An interesting (!) anchovy experience: A number of years ago we were getting ready for a nice summer grilling dinner with friends. DW was preparing our usual home-made Caesar dressing which included some anchovies whirred up in the dressing, and a few whole fillets for those that wanted to see them on their salad. I grabbed a tin from the pantry and cracked the pulltab to open it. WOW, what a smell! Instantly the whole kitchen had to get evacuated, but I managed to grab a couple of ziplock bags to put the offensive tin into to minimize the environmental effect.
We lived only a block from the grocery store, so I took the smelly package with me to warn the store that the rest of their stock might be similarly bad. I took the package to the meat counter to show them the evidence, and they could smell it through double freezer bags. We went over to the shelf where they were stocked, and I noticed that there was oil leaking out of almost all the tins. They all had marks showing that they had somehow been involved with enough movement to wear through the tin. They pulled the entire stock right there. On the way out, I could still smell that terrible odor throughout the store.
It was quite the discussion topic that evening as the smell permeated the whole house. But a good ending, it didn't put us off anchovies for good, but I do still inspect the tins when I buy them.
We stayed in Monterosso al Mare in Italy in 2009 where the principal industry is anchovy fishing. They store the little fishes salted in casks. Every restaurant served a number of anchovy dishes, all delicious!
