Lonnie, I don't know if you're into gardening, but rosemary and bay laurel do well here in south Texas with little or no tending. I've also had good luck with basil, but it needs a bit more attention. Never had much luck growing sage down here. I'm not sure about the others on your list. I hear chives and parsley do OK.

Freezes always kill my rosemary and other herbs. Too lazy to protect and use them faster than they can get fully established.

Yea, I usually grow my own but not since the flood. That was the last thing I was worried about. I'll fire up the ole Aero Garden again very soon. Don't let em tell these silly things don't work! They will grow ya out of the house!

We too have an Aero Garden and you're right, they kick out a ton of whatever you grow in them. Haven't used it in a couple of years but I just had my wife read your thread, looks like it's coming out of hibernation this year.
