    1st smoke

    To be safe I am spatchcocking bird. Do I still need to wrap wings and drumsticks. Only asking because cooking time seems shorter. May be down in the '30's where I am but gonna use a hot water heater wrap if needed. Thanks for any info.

    I'd check the bird mid way through the cook and wrap if the wings and drumsticks look like they are cooking faster. I expect they'll need to be wrapped but this is a call you'll want to make during the cook. Good luck. Keep us posted.

      I agree with David. Just wrap when they get as brown as you want them to be.
