Yesterday we had our 6th annual Wings of Death Contest / Wingfest.
We had a blast as normal. Had to deal with a couple of down pours and a tornado siren or two during it but all went well and 32 of us finished all 12 wings for the challenge.
I cooked up 120 lbs. of party wings and 10 lbs. of breaded chicken tenders.
Here were the 12 sauces that I chose for us to eat. They ranged from 1600 scoville units for the Classic Chili Maple on the left to 1,000,000+ scoville units for the Classic Pepper X sauce on the right.

This is what we were all competing for.

Had a band for 4 hours of the party. They rocked out in the rain.

Thank goodness for canopies.

After the rain a bit of yard sliding was enjoyed by some.

Not sure if anyone here has ever had Da Bomb hot sauce but it is the hottest thing I have ever eaten.
Here are a few of the contestants reaction to this sauce.

When the sun went down it was time to start a fire. Of course someone has a diesel fuel squirt gun to help out.

The steam really built up underneath the canopy when dropping 3 baskets of a dozen wings into the deep fryers all at once.

Here is the three of us that started this tradition 6 years ago. We have no plans on ending it anytime soon. That’s me in the middle.

I added the Scoville ratings of the sauces we had this year at post #19 if anyone wants to see them.
