I've had them. They seemed to have a stronger taste than chicken eggs. But that's just me

We use quail eggs on pizza when we are cooking in the outdoor oven. Mainly because they are small and do not take up too much real estate on the pizza.

Duck eggs are the bomb for baking. I usually use a 1:1.5 ratio of duck to chicken eggs in recipes.

If I could consume that without vomiting I should be awarded a Nobel Prize.

Been there done that when I was in the Philippines in the 80s. Oh, the things you will try when inebriated at 2am! 🤪

Years ago when I was 22. I was backpacking through Central America. In southern Belize off the beat and path, in the middle of a small jungle town, I happened to come across a person's house where the front was converted with a big awning and a few restaurant tables and chairs. I was starving so I sat down to eat. The special of the day was Belizean roasted Iguana with Rice and Beans. I had to try. On the plate also came Iguana eggs. Well I didn't want to be rude, so I ate them. They were actually quite good. A little chewy and they took in the flavor of the sauce. They would have been better if I didn't ask what kind of eggs.

Reminds me of when I was in South Korea and I asked what kind of meat was the meatballs in the soup. They said with a smile, "Korean Meatball." I later found out what kind of meatball it was...

Saw an ostrich egg for sale once, wanted to try it, then saw the price.

Grew up with duck eggs. My parents always kept several ducks around, along with chickens and rabbits. Everything had a food purpose back then. Mom used the duck eggs for baking. Made her cornbread really tall and fluffy. She always said duck eggs made everything rise more when she baked with it. I never had complaints. Now, my wife on the other hand, was not a fan of the rabbit and dressing that mom made on Thanksgiving! lol

Some may recall, I love duck eggs. They are eggier eggs, imho. And richer. I also love cured duck egg yolks. I use them like a hard cheese, grating them over dishes. Delicious.

quail eggs are nice, too. But alas, I have a fear of the, now. I did a summer festival years back. I had to prepare about 1000 quail eggs sunny side up for a dish. I can’t look at quail eggs without shuddering. 🤣🤣🤣

Eat em frequently. Where I got my eggs they also have quackle berrys available. I usually git 1 doz &’two doz cackle berrys.
