I have never wanted something so much that just a single person in the house will use on the weekend but I do love a good waffle. How can I possible justify this?
I’ve asked my son who is the only other person who eats waffles if he likes it. I mean, he just had a birthday so a late birthday gift is still good right?

I think I am having a meltdown. My 16 year old son has now informed me that he wishes to cook waffles. He doesn’t cook anything (yet) but waffles are the first thing he wants to do. What is happening?!(
Steaks? Scrambled eggs? Cookies? No, no, and no.
Waffles? Yup.

OK, so in keeping with my MO, I bought it immediately after seeing the post and Amazon delivered a few hours later. It was a bit smaller than I expected - the waffles, in terms of diameter are about the same as Eggo waffles. I tried out a few recipes and they turned out great - I did the pizza one last night, and this morning I did it again with Bacon, Egg and Cheese. My only (small) gripe with it is that it does not include a timer built into it. Though, that's less of a problem now that I just use my phone as a timer for everything. Otherwise, I'm sure I'd burn about half of them because each one takes about 10 minutes and there's no way I'm just going to stand there for 10 minutes and wait - I gots stuff to do!
Don't even get me started on how many pots of beans I've ruined because I forget about them until I spelled something odd and did a panicked run to the kitchen only to find my beans have boiled dry.

Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
Holy heck. I have never made a waffle in my almost 70 years, and now I want waffles.
As I was watching, I was trying to figure how much I’d pay for it, and I decided, $50. Guess what.

To Mosca ‘s issue, making batter can be an issue. I also know that batter can last 4 days in the fridge.
What do you guys do to create single servings of batter ready to go in the morning?
Is there a way to make batter (excluding eggs) for say 7 waffles, store individually, add the egg and cook without running into freshness issues?
Maybe I should start a new thread.

I dunno, you could mix up dry ingredients and keep 'em in a coffee can (does anyone still do metal cans???), then adding oil, eggs and milk isn't too labor-intensive to make up a batch of whatever you need. Not exactly AS easy as batter you can pull out of the fridge and pour, but not horrible, either.

This waffle maker gets an A+ from me. I made five chocolate chip waffles today for the kids and me and everyone loved them. I used the Presto classic batter recipe. This waffle maker is easy to use, non-stick, and pretty much foolproof to generate consistent waffles. The waffles are pretty substantial and definitely a meal versus a snack. Nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Much better than frozen and typical hotel waffles.
