                This is a slam dunk. Being that we are heading into a new football season, and this name needs to be a 'SURE THING', I would name it the 'Johnny Football Sourdough Starter System'. Now show me the money!

                  I have some photos somewhere of RGIII at his rookie training camp with the Skins. He was injured and not playing at the time, so I wound up shooting more of another new guy by the name of Cousins...

                I was given a sourdough starter by my neighbor, a 95 year-old wonderful guy. He is my neighbor and we share smoked salmon, oysters and sausages, etc. that we've made. So, this starter is over 100 years old, but I don't know what the H do do with it to keep it going and make some good bread with it to go with the smoked meats I make. Anybody have advice? It's in a jar in the frig.

                  First thing you have to do, as Pequod suggests is name it. Talk to it as you are working with it. Then make that glorious bread & yes munch with some smoked meats. That’s what you are here for. AND, welcome, eat good & have fun.
