ID:	930484 Made a Costco run today. Found beef plate ribs there for the first time ever. They sometimes have the four bone chuck racks, but never the plate. Only USDA Choice, but for $6.00 per pound, why not?

    Did you buy them all?

No. I sure wanted to but I have very limited freezer space. In fact I’ll need to cook these up right away because I have no room for them. I know. Buy a freezer!! For now, opportunity lost.

Thanks Mr. Frosty! I’m going to my Costco tomorrow. Gonna show glitchy how they’re done! (after I hit him up for instructions)

Are you using the microwave or the Weber Q 1000?

Neither. Gonna boil em, maybe add a little Liquid Smoke.

I love these. The Costcos in the Twin Cities are hit and miss with these but when I see them, I snap them up.

    Good find.

RonB See my post below. Your Costco might have them, try asking one of the butchers.

Jfrosty27 glitchy Thanks a lot guys! See what y’all made me do? Just wanted to let people know, if you go to Costco for the bone in beef plate ribs, I had to ask the butcher for some. They weren’t on display but he went back and either cut me some or got me some from the back. Not sure which, but I got em. The one’s on display at my Costco were the boneless type. Naturally, I just had to get more stuff.

Those filets look good too and a pretty nice price. Even better yet, looks like they are not blade tenderized!

I’ve heard a few people talk about blade tenderizing but I’ve never seen it at my Costco. Yeah, I tell ya, without paying out the yazoo for steaks, Costco really does have good quality meat. Tonight....Surf and Turf. Tomorrow......Dino bones.

The Costco in Gaithersburg, Maryland doesn’t have the vacuum packed plates (I wish), but these have appeared recently. Click image for larger version
