    Smoking Bone Marrow

    I picked up some bone marrow at the butcher today, cut in half lengthways.

    I’m planning on smoking it at 225, but how long do you think it would take? I have no idea where to start!

    Any advice much appreciated, thanks!

    I bet it will cook pretty fast.

    It might take about an hour. Although, I would probably opt for 250 275 for about 30-40 mins.

      Yes, an hour is good. I assume the marrow is still in the bone (cut lengthwise), add some fried onion on top for the last 15 minutes and enjoy it with a cold beer. Darn good!

        Yup, an hour oughtta be plenty...

        It's very porous, an will absorb smoke quickly...

          I usualy grill it on the parrilla. Salt/pepper on a rice cracker with Pico de gallo is excellent.
          Will cook fast. Watch it as it will all melt away in a heart beat. One of my favourite treats!!
