4th of July - How to smoke Japanese Wagyu beef

As promised, here’s a Youtube video of me smoking a Japanese Wagyu beef, grade A5. I think this is a great way to cook it.

All my Youtube videos are in Swedish, but this is the first one I've done in English. I plug AR (of course), as well as my own website, and the SnS.

Here's the raw beef, 18 oz

Thanks! It's my backyard, believe it or not. We haven't spent any time on it at all, but I really like the apple trees. Helps with shade, and produce great fruit :-)

Yes, it was decadent. That smoke flavor, together with the salt and the marbled meat. Yum!

Nice video, Henrik . Good tips, good camera shots, and what looks to be one heck of a delicious outcome. Congrats on doing such a nice job, and for sharing it with us.

Yup, next time (although it might be a while), I'm gonna smoke it in my offset. But it was (as always) a great experience both cooking and eating it.

I heard there was a Stockholm Meat & Greet in 2019. Any validity to that rumor ??

(Actually is an excuse to meet Rude Boy )

What a great idea! I could certainly feed the whole bunch, that’s for sure:-)

I have a black grade Wagyu cap of prime rib sitting in the fridge right now. Going to cook it up this weekend along with some shrimp. Wifes favorite meal is surf and turf. Thinking I will throw it in the offset and get some smoke on it and then reverse sear over the fire box.

Thank you! I’d love to do a brisket cook, I can fit at least 15 in there. Just need a bunch of people to show up and help me eat it.
