Hi all, need some help here. My in-laws bought some ribeyes 5 days ago and they've been in the fridge. The package was wrapped in paper and when I popped it open just now I saw that one end was out of the plastic and open to the air. It's got an odor, is dark colored with possibly greenish tint, sticky texture.. is it a lost cause or are there specific things I should look for? I'm new at this, I know you can age streaks but I'm guessing this wasn't the right way to do it..
Please let me know if there are specific things I should look for, or if you have questions that would help figure it out. Thanks a bunch!
BTW, I should say - I'm not going to get anyone in trouble here, I'm not look for anyway to say "It's ok.." Just let me know what you look for in these situations and I take full responsibility for the final decision.
