First time smoking tri-tip; should I brine?

I have had my PBC for about a month now; I’ve done ribs a few times, chicken, pork loin, and corned beef on St Patrick’s Day. After watching Noah’s videos, I now plan to smoke a tri-tip (it looks so good).

Any advice on whether I should brine the tri-tip? Noah’s video shows him just using rub.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to trying more things.

I haven't found a tri-tip in my area, but I dry brine all my beef.

Dry brine, yes. Wet brine, no. Meathead and Dr. Blonder are world-renowned experts. Good luck and have fun.

Noah Glanville is the founder of the Pit Barrel Cooker company, and is the guy doing most (all?) of their how-to videos on their site.
