An interesting article on why you should add sugar to your steak. We don't eat steak often, (enough for me), so I doubt that I will be trying this any time soon. I am interested in what others think though.

We have two weber kettle grills (one LARGE and one small/average), the SnS and the Weber Smokey Mountain 18" smoker. We use both natural lump charcoal and KNB for smoking and measure our temps with a Maverick 733, thermopen and MK4. Favorite beer depends on what is cooking (alt answer is yes).
I've put some sugar on steaks when pan frying for the carmelization, but didn't know it was a tenderizer. Interesting!
