    Choice Chuck Roast oops.

So I forgot I had this in the garage fridge dry brining since Thursday. Oops. With all of the festivities one becomes forgetful. LSUBBQFan posts about needing help with some chuck today and I was like hmmm... DOH!!!! No time for pulled chuckie until Wednesday. Maybe I'll be grinding it? one can never have too many burgers. Any suggestions?

It still makes a beautiful pot roast or stew. A stew can be frozen and then reheated in the HTTM for cooler days. Braise in a Dutch oven with onions then cut into cubes add veggies and taters, some red wine and water or bone broth and simmer for several hours. I take some of the veggies and taters out and purée them befor adding them back at the end to thicken it up.

Still sounds amazing but here it's raging hot and humid. My chinchilla is suffering. I have his cage loaded with ice and some fans going. We have no AC.

Maybe I'll just leave it and see what happens. Although I can always use a burger.

Got a pressure cooker? Won't heat the house up very much at all, especially if it's electric.

Unless it's been previously frozen, I'd bag it and freeze it in anticipation of another day ... followed by a quick trip to the air conditioned grocery store for Wednesday's protein.

Maybe a long trip to the air conditioned grocery store and set up camp for a couple of weeks.
Just tryin to help keep you guys cool.

That is one excellent looking chuckie. I would definitely just freeze it if possible.

EdF a most awesome Idea. Alas... no pressure cooker, unless you are in my hallway bathroom. Thats a real cooker!

You might want to think about one of those for the future - one of the electric ones like the Instapot @lonnie_mac mentions. They're pretty inexpensive and can get a lot done when you're in a hurry (or want to keep the heat down).

Man there is noting easier or better tasting than a pot roast in an Instant Pot! 35 minutes to pure pot roast bliss!

      Here's a good MCS site: https://www.hippressurecooking.com/5...commendations/

I've been a big pressure cooker fan for at least 30 years - oops, 40. And these days, they're better than ever.

If you wait long enough to decide it will be Wednesday and you can throw it in the pit.

SWMBO bought an InstantPot and I must say that I was not too excited, but she has cranked out some pretty good stuff in short order. I may have to commandeer it.
