Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

I tried one of their pastrami sammys a couple years back when it came back as a limited time thing, and I was less than impressed. The meat was tough and gristly. I bet I just got a bad batch, but still.
I LOVE pastrami and am fortunate enough to live a little over an hour from NYC & THE Katz Deli referred to in Meatheads famous pastrami recipe. After having the opportunity to eat there a few time (many, many years ago), I thought I loved it about as much as a guy could love a food item.
THEN, I came across the aforementioned Meathead recipe, tried it and WOW, was I wrong about my level of affection for this awesome meat!!! I've made it twice more and was just as good each time. I am planning on corning some beef from scratch for St. Patty's Day, and figure as long as I'm going through the process & time of making corned beef, I might as well throw another hunk'a brisket in the brine and do up a Pastrami too! Can't wait!

Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
