What would you do with a 1 lb brisket?

    That’s right, 1 lb. lol.
I noticed this as I perused the meat case yesterday at Food Lion. Nevermind the outrageous price of $12.99 for this cut, but what the heck would you do with it?

Big chunk and braise it? Probably too much work for such a small quantity. Maybe grind it for your burger mix.

I’ve bought this size before, but it was in the managers special section at a much reduced price. I ground it up for hamburger.

I’d either grind it for burgers or chop it up for chili.

I don’t think anyone in the Pit would pay $12.99 for a pound of brisket, Alan Brice I took the post to be asking what would you do if you had a one pound brisket since he says, “Nevermind the outrageous price…what the heck would you do with it?” Getting hung up about the price doesn’t answer OP’s question.

The only smaller cuts we find around here are flats. I cant seem to find out where the points go! A piece that size, I would grind it.

I am guessing that it is a flat and if I were to cook it like a brisket I would inject it.

Grind and mix with other cuts like lamb or ox tail for burgers.

That would be something that I'd use for grind or braised / roast and chopped for Texas Chili... Lots of options.

Grind it and make burgers. Or braise it.

I would leave it in the store. For $12.99/lb (FOR CHOICE!) I wouldn’t even bother with grinding it.

Around here that is sold as a braising cut, not a smoking cut. They’re sold as trimmed flats, average weight around 5 lbs, and $12.99/lb.

Leave it at the store is exactly what I did.
It just struck me as odd that they would even package it, and not just grind it themselves

Exactly what you did; take a pic and start a "WTH is this?" thread in The Pit

Deep fry it. I remember watching one of the talking heads on a you tube video deep fry one.
