My Oma has told me in the past, they made menudo at their restaurant only on Wednesdays and it would sell out within 1-2 hours it was so popular. She couldn’t stand it though, so it wasn’t something she ever made outside of the restaurant kitchen. And…if she could, she would have one of the other cooks makes it because she didn’t like the cleaning process. But she said people were lined up out the door ready to buy it on Wednesday’s!

the honeycomb tripe usually does have to be cleaned at home. the blanket tripe I bought was precleaned, dried, and vacuum sealed.

Had menudo a couple of times many years ago. Didn’t like it the first time. Was convinced to give it another shot. Didn’t like it the second time. And that was it for me interacting with tripe.

I see it on the list at the various taco trucks around town, but have had zero interest in branching out and trying it, and don't plan to do so any time soon.

Doesn't look appetizing in any form, and I am pretty sure the texture would turn me off.

I’ve had it in dishes from Chinese cuisine. It was fine, but not something I would seek out.

Eat it in tacos and menudo often. Outside those preparations, I dont have it that often.
