Chuck roast roll

My wife and I picked up our Costco cards this week and I found one of these bad boys at about 12lbs. My first thought was for ground beef and maybe a chuck roast or three?

Any thoughts?

By the way, it was good my wife was with me. As soon as I got to the meat I started to load up the cart and my wife said, "Mike, we don't have the chest freezer yet."

There are very many cuts that can be taken from a chuck roll. Several of us have posted threads in the past on here, but when you do the search function just put in "chuck roll" and leave out the word roast.

Maybe even better would be to go to YouTube and do the same search, there are tons of videos showing break down and visuals seem to help. I'm surprised you found one so small. My local Costco typically has them sized 20-30 pounds. I plan to get one next trip.

I have smoked a couple chuck rolls whole (15-20lbers) and made pull beef...
I also had them cut into 5lb chuck roasts to smoke.
