    The pendulum swings.....again (still?)

The Golden Age of Tallow. What was once the "secret" to good McDonalds fries...
    Where’s the fat?

    #2
There is an entire generation and a half, maybe two, that has no idea about the deliciousness of McDonald's fries cooked in tallow. Maybe there is hope for McDonald's fries once again.

As for cooking with tallow, I sure like using it here and there. It adds a nice flavor.

The flavor is in the fat.

If something isn't healthy for you today it will be perfectly fine in a couple of years. I always use Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones as an example. Sex, drugs and rock n roll, 81 years old and going strong. Don't forget the chain smoking too. Hey, jyst do things in moderation and you'll be fine. I know this because I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

If Keith is your example, forget about moderation. Clearly, the secret to longevity is everything in excess.

Let us remember that the war on fat was based on someone cookin the “science” books. Beef tallow sure beets tank lube.

I have this notion that the beef fat thing stopped (also) because when they had locations in India and sacred cows and some such….

Corporations find its easier just to give in to whatever their lawyers advise, regardless of the facts.

Still fry them in tallow or lard. Fried some up last night for the kids.

A smear of bacon lard on toast is a tasty thing

Keith Richards is 81. Saw him and the Stones last year. They were great. Clearly clean living is overrated!

Keith has a public image that is very different that his daily health routine that keeps him going so strong at 81.

As Sam the Cooking Guy says,..." If fat is flavor, then I am delicious! "
