Michelin Chefs Show How They Cook Steaks

Really good and interesting ion their methods.

Weird, my phone must have been on silent.....

The first guy...that is my jam. I have cooked many steaks that exact way and there is nothing better for me.

The spooned up, skillet steak is tough to beat in the kitchen. If you do not have a grill, that is a great way to go.

That compound butter looks crazy though......as they mentioned. I mean a steak soaking in butter, on the plate. That is almost cheating. C'mon man!!

I usually don;t really care for these videos much, but this was an awesome one. Thanks for posting brother.

Yes, and all but one cooked in a pan or flat top. Even the one using open flame didn't complete the cook that way.

Yeah, the first guy was using smoke though. At least there was that. The griddle is a great way to go for the sear. And putting it in a wood fired oven brings a ton of smoke and flavor to the party. I do that exact cook all the time during syrup camp. It is a HUGE hit with the folks.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting methods and all look fantastic. Definitely going to do the cast iron pan and slowly move the meat.

I certainly will once I have a steak to cook. Hopefully tomorrow that will be rectified.

Very cool video. But I have to tell you it did nothing for the aftertaste of the turkey sandwich I had for dinner tonight.

My biggest take away is no reverse searing for these steaks. They all use the front sear method to enhance, elevate and lock in surface flavor. Amen! And they all primarily do the same thing....Good meat, season the surface, get a great crust over high heat, baste with butter or finish with butter, finish indirect to bring meat up to desired serving temp.

I rarely ever pan fry steaks. Enjoy grilling too much outdoors in the year around beautiful So. Cal. weather.

Bottom line - I cook like a Michelin chef

After a few glasses of wine, or bottles, I too cook like a Michelin chef.
