    Steak day again

I cut up another ribeye loin from Sam’s this morning. They will need a bit of trimming but will be vacc sealed and in the freezer soon. I’ve said this before but if you’d like your freezer to pay for it’s self buy in bulk or what’s on sale. You can eat very well for less if you just shop around a little. These are choice grade. I normally have a young man in the meat dept just go back and pick me one out but he was gone that day. Another young man said he wouldn’t dare pick steaks for me but instead brought a cart out with several loins I could close from. They are very helpful people. A couple of these are going on the char-broiler this weekend. Click image for larger version

Same here! I stock up on rib roasts at Christmas for this very reason.

Looks good, but even buying in bulk, I can't afford that. $12-15/lb or more.

This is special occasion stuff. Until the wife went on her diet we had steak for dinner on Sunday. Our every day stuff is much more budget friendly.

Not that much just watch for sales and vacuum seal. Even at safeway they have deals weekly I often get steaks for $5/99 a lb

Yes Sir! I built our new freezer in to stand right beside the refrigerator for that same reason!

Super content and I agree on bulk. I got a s,allish chest freezer like 5 cu and vacuum seal and it's saved me TONS of money

Awesome! I agree on buying in a sense of economy for cooking, you can buy better when you buy larger and package yourself.

                    No trimming necessary.
Cook them up. cut off fat and place in a bowl. Doggos singing praise afterwards.

I trimmed some of the fat off the lower end but left quite a bit so I would have fats dripping down into the charbroiler. That’s the way I get that great smoke and little flare ups that create the wonderful flavor I love.
