I don't really want to get into Scotch talk on this site but I'm not familiar with Aberlour. Just read a few write-ups about it and it seems like it's kind of along the same lines as my favorite, Macallan 12 Sherry Oak which is quite a bit more expensive-to the point where I really have to ration it. Don't know if I can get Aberlour at the limited stores I have locally but I'll look for it. Can you tell me a bit more about it?

Macallen 12 Sherry Oak is pretty close to Aberlour... Very smooth, a little sweet with only a slight hint of peat/smoke. One of my favs! Worth a try...

Thanks! I'm looking for it. I have my hopes because it's about 20 bucks less a bottle than Macallan.

Tim Clark My brother-in-law drinks this brand and I had a few drinks with him and I really liked it. He knows more about scotch than I do and told me single malts are much better than blended. He prefers Highland single malt more than others and I really enjoyed the flavor of this. Very smooth with a single ice cube and a splash of waster. It cost around $48.00 here in Az. I will pick up a bottle every now and then when I'm in the scotch mood.

Thanks! Used to live in AZ and still visit a lot. Last time I discovered Total Wine-amazing selection of not just wine but scotch as well. I later found out Total Wine is based in NC where I live now. But in NC they can't carry spirits. Go figure.
