The most pragmatic answer to whether to rest in a cooler or on the counter...

From the Meat Church Facebook group this morning. Most pragmatic answer ever.

Counter surfing dogs are a pia. Daughter s dog surfed a chocolate cake and ended up in the hospital. Good answer though.

Saw a video of a beagle moving a chair to get on in order to get on the counter.

I fully appreciate living in a house alone.

In-Laws lost a full prime tenderloin to a pair of Greyhounds. It was meant for a family get together.

My dog Roy hangs out and cooks with me all the time. But I made the mistake of leaving a cooked plate of $40 a pound sea scallops on the edge of the counter. I went to the garage and there were six of them, but when I came back there were only five. Who knew he'd turn out to be a scallop stealing S.O.B.? Bad dog.

Not stealing, taste testing. Roy must not like scallops or else there would have been zero left on that plate.

Resting what? Big difference between steak or brisket. (Rhetorical, aimed at the original asker in the graphic above)

We lost ours to an over zealous Rottweiler.

Our last dog was a dumpster diver.

Never messed with our food unless there was a chicken carcass in the garbage can.

Many years ago, as we were all sitting and enjoying Thanksgiving dinner at my sister’s, 2 pumpkin pies, a pecan pie, and a sweet potato pie fell victim to her weimeraner.
