Transporting Brisket

Lots of good information in the Pit about buying brisket, trimming brisket, rubbing brisket, injecting brisket, cooking brisket,etc.

A glaring omission is information on how to transport the brisket once you buy it. These babies are expensive!!

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. And, oh yeah, it also allows you to use the carpool lane.

This is totally the wrong way to transport brisket. It should be in a cooler on ice and then strapped in!

Dr ROK brings up a good point. Whenever transporting luggage, coolers, or other heavy objects on a vehicle seat they should be strapped in. My wife was in the insurance business before she retired and has dealt with many an accident when those things became missiles in case of a crash or other sudden stop.
